JCB has been given a reason to celebrate after winning an order for more than £6.5 million worth of diggers and materials handling machines from a leading UK plant hire company.
The digger giant said Lancashire hire firm Buckhurst Specialist Plant has ordered a fleet of 25 backhoe loaders and 100 JCB Loadall telescopic handlers, from the World Headquarters in Rocester.
Buckhurst chairman John Walsh said: “We feel it is the right time to make this sizeable investment and capitalise on the definite upturn we have seen in groundworks projects as more and more new build sites appear. The new machines expand our nationwide fleet and will also increase our presence in the Scottish Highlands – stocking our recently opened a site in Aberdeen.
“We are one of the few companies in our sector to have ridden the storm and actually grown over the last five years - by guaranteeing our customers great service along with reliable, state-of-the-art equipment.
“This order for the latest JCB technology will only help reinforce that promise.”
