POLICE are calling on Uttoxeter residents to identify suspected stolen property seized from a Uttoxeter address.

Staffordshire Police has published a Flickr album of suspected stolen property in a bid to reunite it with its rightful owners.

The items were recovered from an address in Stone Road, Uttoxeter when officers executed a search warrant under the Theft Act.

Although officers have identified a number of items, they are still searching for the owners of a brass steam engine model, jewellery, antique photographic equipment, brass candelabras, and ceramic items (see the link for photographs).

It is believed these items have been stolen from around the Uttoxeter area over the last six months.

A spokesman for the force said: "We would like to trace the owners of these items and hand back property which is rightfully theirs.

"If you own such property please check to make sure it is still in situ. If not there is a chance this property could be yours and you have not realised it is missing."

A 43-year-old man from Uttoxeter was arrested in connection with the seized items and he remains on bail while inquiries are ongoing.

Those who recognise any of the items should contact PC Hardy on 101, quoting incident number 42 of January 16.
