Call for people to get involved with Piaf show

A SPECIAL concert taking place in Birmingham next month celebrating the work of a French musical great is on the lookout for top local talent to take part.

Musician and entrepreneur Matthew Jones is giving people in Uttoxeter the chance to take part in the special concert paying homage to the life and music of Edith Piaf, best known for the classics Non, Je Ne Regrette Rien and La Vie En Rose.

June Brown (EastEnders’ Dot Branning) will narrate an original script by Jane Lapotaire in Piaf - The Concert starring Eva Stanley-Jones, Peter Straker, Denise Green and The Matthew Jones Orchestra.

Local rehearsals commence this month.
