Nicki Minaj - Birmingham LG Arena
NICKI Minaj wowed thousands of fans when she made a grand entrance on stage in a space rocket.
The rap singer blew everyone away with her amazing Pink Friday gig which stopped by at the LG Arena, in Birmingham, on Saturday.
She was supported by former X Factor contestant Misha B and hip hop legend Tyga who got everyone excited for Nicki Minaj’s rather unusual appearance.
There was a big countdown to the star coming out on stage and the show eventually went off with a bang when her bright pink sparkly spaceship landed through a mist of white smoke and silver confetti.
She delivered an upbeat performance with all of her hit tunes including Pound The Alarm, Super Bass, Starships and Did It On Em, to name a few.
Nicki Minaj, who was accompanied by male and female dancers who were brilliant, surprised the audience with some crazy costumes and wacky hair wigs but it suited her gig down to the ground. I would say it was all quite hectic and slightly bizarre but that is partly what made her so famous.
While she did her costume changes, which did take a little too long I thought, there was a DJ playing cover songs to keep the audience gripped. Her dancers also came out on the stage and started firing out merchandise T-shirts to the crowd, out of what looked like mini cannons.
Throughout the 90-minute performance she interacted with the chanting crowd and continued to hype everyone up by saying how much she loved her fans.
The energy in the arena was electric and everyone seemed to be enjoying it. Most people, even those who had seated tickets, were stood up throughout the show dancing, singing and some even screaming.
All in all it was a fabulous show and I would love to see her live again. She is a top class entertainer with a superb voice.
