A ROCESTER school will be hosting classical music from a group of top young musicians in a special concert next week.
Abbotsholme Arts Society presents the performance by a group of talented musicians from 8pm on Tuesday who have recently been working together at an open music seminar for advanced students at Prussia Cove, in Cornwall.
While at the renowned short course seminars the group were directed by the cellist Steven Isserlis (pictured), who is a patron of the Abbotsholme Arts Society.
The artists performing will be violinists Daniel Philips, Leslie Hatfield and Hye-Jin- Kim, viola players Louise Williams and Carolyn Blackwell, cellists Rafael Rosenfield and Alice Neary and pianist Sarah Tysman.
Music being performed on the night includes Beethoven (string trio in C minor), Schumann (piano quartet in E major) and Dvorak (string sextet in A major).
Tickets for the event in the chapel at Abbotsholme School cost £16 for adults and £5 for under 25s and can be booked in advance by calling the box office on 01543 263304.
