Blues rockers at village club to start new year

ONE of the Uttoxeter’s top bands kick off a new year of live music at a popular village club on Friday night.

The Vice Bishops perform at the first of their Meet on the Ridge events at Doveridge Village Club which were launched last year.

The band performed with a host of special guests during 2012 such as Big Stone Gap, Pete Oakley, The Foaming Pints and Anonymous but will be taking the stage for a set on their own this time around.

The Vice Bishops have been playing in and around the Midlands for a number of years now and have built a solid reputation as one of the tightest, most enthusiastic and reliable bands around.

Although they have kept the ‘blues’ tag their repertoire ranges through blues to rock and jazz moods and has converted all types of audience through a mix of carefully chosen covers and self-penned compositions.

They hit the stage at 9pm on Friday, January 11 at Doveridge Club. For more information contact 01889 563123.
