Phil ‘The Power’ Taylor is set to be on target to raise money for The Donna Louise Children’s Hospice when he takes part in a celebrity edition of Pointless this Saturday (14th September).
Phil is a celebrity champion of the Trentham-based Hospice, which supports children and their families from around Staffordshire and South Cheshire.
He is taking part in the popular general knowledge quiz on BBC 1 at 6.20pm on Saturday, 14 September.
Joining him will be a host of sporting celebrities including Welsh boxing champion Joe Calzaghe and Football legend Sir Geoff Hurst.
They will be taking questions from quizmasters Alexander Armstrong and Richard Osman, who will be asking contestants to come up with answers that nobody else thinks of.
The money raised by Phil will be used to help fund the Hospices annual running costs of £2.5M, which help support around 180 children and their families.
Melanie Williams, Director of Fundraising and PR, said: “You can help Phil hit the jackpot by also making a donation. Just £5 will pay for a home-cooked meal for a child here at the Hospice.”
