ADAM Peaty claimed a second gold medal at the Commonwealth Games last night in the very last event in the Tollcross pool.
The Uttoxeter star swam the breaststroke leg in the medley relay – and cheered his team-mates on as they produced a shock in beating Australia into second place.
Chris Walker-Hebborn gave England a slender lead on the backstroke but it was Peaty who extended that advantage.
He handed over to Adam Barratt, who stretched the lead further to 1.5 metres for freestyler Adam Brown to hold on for a famous victory.
Golden Adam Peaty has done Uttoxeter proud after taking home the silver medal in the 50 metre race last night.
The 19-year-old now has three medals from the Commonwealth Games after previously winning the gold for the 100 metre race.
