Camera call for 'Rampage' in Stoke show

UTTOXETER heavyweight Reece ‘Rampage’ Jones is set to star in The Repo Man! Jones boxes on the next EBFsanctioned fight night at the Kings Hall in Stoke on — and millions could watch the 25 year-old powerhouse in action.

REECE JONES Television cameras are following Jones and his uncle, Sean Donegal, for a documentary that will be screened on Channel Four next year.

The programme will focus on Donegal Investigations, a repossessions business, and Jones is set to have a starring role.

“We deal with anything to do with finance from a diamond ring to a Rolls Royce,” he explained.

“The cameras are following us for 10 weeks and they are going to call the programme The Repo Man.

“It’s being made by the company that produced My Big Fat Gypsy Wedding and will mostly about my uncle.

“But when they found out I box they asked to film me as well.

“They have filmed me training and will be there when I box at the Kings Hall.

“I wasn’t planning to box on this show.

I was going to have a break and defend my title at the Kings Hall next March, but this is a great opportunity.” Jones was made a punch-perfect start to his ring career on the EBF circuit.

He has won all four fights and was crowned EBF under-10 bout Midlands Area heavyweight champion on the last show at the venue in September. Jones claimed the belt with a hard-earned points win over Lewis Donnelly and said: “That was my best fight so far.

“Donnelly was the best opponent I’ve faced, but I felt relaxed in there. I’m getting used to being in the ring in front of big crowds.”

Jones brings a big crowd with him. He usually sells around 300 tickets when he boxes and hopes his new gym will prove to be as popular.

He plans to open The Doghouse Gym on Bramshall Industrial Estate next month and describes it as “a heavyweights gym.” Fans’ favourites Jake Barrett and Danny Chell will also be on the show and tickets are available from 07738 814606.
