Sick children benefit from Co-op appeal

COLLEAGUES and customers at a Uttoxeter store have been part of raising more than £500,000 to help provide specialist equipment for disabled and terminally ill children across the Midlands.

Central England Co-operative stores, including that in the Maltings, raised the cash for Newlife Foundation for Disabled Children.

They have raised £521,221 since May 2012 which has seen 251 children benefit from wheelchairs and walkers, specialist beds, car seats and communication aids.
