TWO second-half goals sank Rocester Hornets in an entertaining clash with Woodville Rangers Blue.
Hornets were immediately up against it after conceding two early goals. Rocester struck back on 23 minutes when Lawrence was upended following a trademark run.
He took the free-kick himself and floated a lovely ball into the Woodville box which striker Nathan Winstanley hit first time to halve the deficit.
Winstanley then outpaced the Woodville defenders before finding the net with a superb shot to restore party.
Hornets completed their recovery when another Nathan Winstanley break found Liam Fletcher.
His first-time ball found the skilful Bobby Samuel who made no mistake with a fine finish. But just one minute later Rangers drew level as the sides went in at the break 3-3.
The second half deservedly belonged to Woodville with Hornets simply not at the races.
Break after break from Woodville had the Hornets defence in tatters. Only a good, confident performance from keeper Jack Wright kept the score-line down.
Woodville regained their lead on 39 minutes with another quick break which ended with a one-on-one against the Hornets keeper.
Hornets had a couple of chances through Samuel and Winstanley, but Woodville continued to dominate.
Their grip on the game was underlined on 46 minutes when they opened up what proved a decisive two-goal lead.
