UTTOXETER Town A’s bid to make three cup finals was ended in unceremonious fashion by Cheadle Cricket Club at Oldfields on Sunday.

Dean Smith’s side had already booked their spot in the final of the Charity Trophy and Sunday Challenge Cup.

Town A are also guaranteed to finish second in Uttoxeter and District Sunday League’s top division.

But they had no answer to the rampant Cricketers in last weekend’s Ken Green Memorial semi-final.

Jake Alcock, Sam Gavin, and Ben Carr bagged the goals that put the Cheadle outfit through to the final.
