ABBOTS Bromley exited the Derbyshire County League Bayley Cup at the quarter-final stage on Sunday with a home defeat to league rivals Mickleover.

Bromley paid the price for a poor total of 121 all out in only 32.2 overs as Mickleover duo Richard Kingham (3-34) and Jamie Holloway (4-28) bowled tidily at Anglesey Ground.

After the break, Matt Tracey bowled nicely for the hosts, taking 4-29, but it was not enough as Mickleover got home by four wickets with plenty of time to spare.
