Rugby star inspires Denstone pupils in training

AN INTERNATIONAL rugby player visited a Denstone school to host a training session for aspiring rugby players at the college.

Former England international and current Aviva Premiership rugby union player Olly Barkley visited Denstone College to hold a session with 12 of the college’s aspiring rugby players as he is planning to host one of his electrik3 rugby camps at the College in October.

After an inspiring session working with a range of talented young players, he commented that he was ‘very impressed with the high standards of rugby on display’ and promised to visit again soon.

After the event, one of the young players said: “We are so lucky to have so many top level players and coaches visiting.”
