Ragwort study needs horse owners' input

HORSE owners in and around Uttoxeter are being asked to help a major survey to raise awareness about weed which could kill animals if eaten.

The British Horse Society (NHS) and Defra have launched the consultation to discuss ragwort.

BHS is regularly inundated with concerns from about wild weed ragwort, which can cause 'much damage' to horses if they eat it.

The survey is running between up until Friday, August 15 and can be accessed through the BHS website at www.bhs.org.uk/ragwort
