AN ACOUSTIC singer-songwriter famed for his work with a celebrated indie band – and as a television presenter.
John Bramwell will play a host of his new original music at The Venue, in Derby, on Thursday night, with doors opening at around 7.30pm.
He shot to fame as TV presenter personality Johnny Dangerously on regional magazine show Fresh – the show that also launched the career of Caroline Aherne’s Mrs Merton character.
Since then, Bramwell has performed with The Mouth and I am Kloot, as well as working as a promoter for Manchester’s iconic Night and Day Café venue.
I am Kloot’s early work was produced by Elbow front man Guy Garvey.
