POLICE are appealing for the public to report any sightings of a missing school girl from Hoar Cross.

Amira Basharat, 15, was last seen at her school, King Edwards VI, Upper St Johns Street, Lichfield at around 12pm on Monday, March 24.

Amira is described as Asian, 4ft 10ins tall and has very long straight black hair.

She was wearing school uniform consisting of a white shirt, black blazer, black skirt, black tights and black shoes.

Inspector Rob Neeson, of East Staffordshire Local Policing Team, said: “We consider Amira to be vulnerable due to her young age and as time passes our concern for her safety is increasing.

“We are working closely with colleagues from West Midlands Police to locate her as we believe she caught a train from Lichfield to Birmingham at around 1.20pm on Monday.

"It is likely she is in the Birmingham area as this is where she originates from.

“Anyone who has seen her or has any information on her whereabouts is asked to contact Staffordshire Police on 101 quoting incident number 396 of March 24.”
