SOME of the biggest names in pop music will be descending on Alton Towers this summer for a major concert.
Alton Towers Live on Saturday, July 6 will see a line-up of the hottest acts around alongside the adrenalin-pumping rides at the theme park.
Confirmed on the bill are Olly Murs, Rizzle Kicks, Labrinth, Little Mix, Conor Maynard, Stooshe and Union J, as well as last year’s X Factor winner James Arthur.
Olly Murs has moved from being a runner-up on X factor in 2009 to becoming one of the UK’s most popular pop stars, achieving multiple number one hits.
The X Factor contingent also includes 2011 winner Little Mix, who hit number one last year with debut single Wings, boy band Union J from the 2012 series and last year’s winner James Arthur, who hit number one with winner’s single Impossible.
Conor Maynard emerged on the scene last year as the UK’s answer to Justin Bieber with hit singles including Can’t Say No and Turn Around winning him many admirers.
Rounding off the bill are rapping duo Rizzle Kicks and Labrinth, who hit the top spot with his Emeli Sande featuring single Beneath Your Beautiful in 2012.
With tickets starting from £55, fans will not only get access to see the spectacular musical line up of British home-grown talent but also entry to the theme park offering attractions and thrill rides for the whole family.
Concert goers will enjoy all the theme park has to offer including the new world first rollercoaster, The Smiler, before enjoying the star-studded musical extravaganza set on the theme park’s front lawns with the famous Towers as the backdrop.
Opening in May, The Smiler is Alton Towers’ biggest ever ride and will combine plunging drops and extreme turns with twisted psychological effects.
