A COMMUNITY touring scheme which brings professional arts to unusual spaces is teaming up with the town hall entertainments.
Live & Local is teaming up with Uttoxeter Town Hall entertainments committee to bring cultural performances to the town.
The inaugural show which launches the partnership is a quirky comedy The Carlton Colliers by the Badapple Theatre Company.
It will be on at 7.30pm on November 7 in the recently renovated ballroom at Uttoxeter Town Hall.
The Grade II listed town hall in High Street was refurbished last year in time for the Queens Diamond Jubillee and the town councillors are now keen to use the ballroom for cultural activities which is why they have joined the Live & Local network.
The Badapple Theatre Company are regulars on the Live & Local circuit and always draw a good crowd with their feelgood shows.
The Carlton Colliers is a quirky comedy written and directed by Kate Bramley, founder of the Badapple Theatre Company, and former associate director with the acclaimed Hull Truck Theatre Company.
The production is about small town life, love and a little bit of football.
Tickets for the show are priced at £8 for adults and £6 for under 16s and senior citizens.
Those wishing to order should contact the town hall on 01889 564085.
