POLICE say a man in his mid-50s had to be airlifted to hospital after suffering a ‘serious hand injury’ in a workshop.
A Derbyshire Police spokesman said the man was in his shed at the bottom of his garden when he suffered the injury.
The exact details of the injury are not known.
Emergency services, including the air ambulance, were called to the address in Ashbourne Road, Sudbury, at 4.30pm on Tuesday.
The man was then taken to the Royal Derby Hospital where he was kept in overnight.
The police spokesman said: “No further details about how the man came about his injuries are known.
“At this time but there are no suspicious circumstances surrounding the incident.”
