THE first phase of the Rocester Village Hall refurbishment project has been completed, following a generous donation of £10,000 from JCB.
Included in the refurbishment was the installation of energy efficient heating and lighting, a new ceiling and improvements to the roof.
There were also new entrance doors fitted along with a redecoration of the main hall.
Jenny Woodward, chairman of the village hall management committee said: “We are very relieved and extremely pleased with the outcome. Everything went as we hoped. All comments have been extremely positive and the hall looks modern and bright. We now hope to encourage new groups and for people to book the hall out for their own private functions.”
The second phase of the project is to include an extension and improved facilities.
