UTTOXETER and surrounding villages have suffered from severe flooding today (Friday) after torrential downpours.
This incredible video footage shot by Uttoxeter resident Adam Lethbridge in Foxglove Avenue shows the extent of today's floods.
Picknall Brook in Uttoxeter burst its banks causing flooding at Uttoxeter Racecourse and Dovefields Retail Park.
Meanwhile flood warnings were also issued for the River Tean covering both Tean and Checkley and at Foston Brook and Marchington Brook.
Roads had to be closed across the area including Stubby Lane in Marchington, Moreton Lane at Draycott in the Clay and the A522 Uttoxeter Road at Lower Tean.
Flooding was also seen on the A50 around Uttoxeter and tailbacks were worsened due to an accident.
