ALTON Towers will be hosting their annual Halloween extravaganza for 2013, with a brand new coaster to ride in the dark.
Scarefest will return to Alton Towers Resort from October 19 until November 3, with a 9pm ride close time for those who dare to ride in the dark.
New for this year is the brand new Smiler rollercoaster, with the opportunity to ride the 14 loop coaster in total darkness.
Returning for 2013 is The Sanctuary which will open its doors for appointments to offer its patients a refreshing check up, but a terrifying twist awaits. The travelling funhouse The Carnival of Screams is back to disorientate and petrify any guests who dare to venture inside. The old, frightening favourite, Terror of the Towers will once again reveal its dark and horrifying secret.
Katherine Duckworth head of consumer marketing at the Alton Towers Resort commented: “The Smiler provides an intense physical experience like no other ride and has already proved its extreme popularity amongst our guests.
“The chance to ride this mind-bending attraction in the dark will heighten the senses of our guests and give the ride a whole new terrifying dimension.
“Plus, we’ve got lots of old Scarefest favourites that are back for 2013 so there will be something for the whole family to enjoy.”
The resort’s themed hotels will also offer scare rooms and Trick or Treat rooms for ‘spooktacular’ entertainment.
