PUPILS from a Uttoxeter school have been selling some delicious treats to raise money for charity.

Senior prefects from Thomas Alleyne’s High School held another successful donut day.

The team of prefects partnered up with the Birmingham branch of Krispy Kreme to order 960 donuts.

A school spokesman said: “After weeks of planning a minibus was sent at 7am on the day to collect the donuts and all the effort was worth it as all 960 donuts were sold in under 20 minutes to raise over £900.

“The funds will be split between the year 13’s leaver’s day savings and The Stoke-on-Trent food bank, which provides struggling families with food parcels to help them through tough times.”
