MINI enthusiasts from across the world gathered at Uttoxeter Racecourse at the weekend to celebrate the legendary British car.
The British Mini Club hosted its fourth annual event in Uttoxeter and were grateful for some late summer sunshine after a year of cancellations caused by the weather.
Mini clubs from all over the country descended on the Wood Lane venue and there were also plenty of trade stalls and entertainment to keep visitors happy.
Event organiser David Hollis told the Advertiser it was a relief to have got the show on and to enjoy some fine weather.
He said: “It was a great success, especially as we have had so many shows cancelled because of the bad summer we have had.
“We also hold shows at Himley Hall near Dudley and the one in May had to be postponed because of the weather and when we rescheduled it for July that was cancelled.
“So it was nice to finally get a show on in Uttoxeter. Lots of clubs turned out from across the country but there were also enthusiasts coming from abroad we had people from South Africa, Germany, France, Italy and of course from across the UK.” Among the most anticipated attractions every year is the chance for one lucky visitor to win a classic Mini for a £1.
