JCB has unveiled plans to spend £150 million expanding operations in Staffordshire, including building a new factory near Uttoxeter.
Chancellor George Osborne is at JCB World Headquarters in Rocester today announcing the five-year investment plan which will see 2,500 new jobs created in the area by 2018.
JCB will build a new 350,000 square foot factory for JCB Cab Systems in Beamhurst, near Uttoxeter, replacing one at Rugeley, and an excavator manufacturing plant in Cheadle.
It comes the day after it was announced the A50 is set to undergo major improvements at the Uttoxeter junctions.
