THERE are only days left to vote for a former Uttoxeter schoolgirl who has gone on to find fame with Hollyoaks.
Anna Passey, better known as Hollyoaks sinister Sienna Blake, has been shortlisted for the Best Newcomer award in this year’s National TV Awards and is asking the people of her home town to get behind her.
She will be competing against Marc Baylis of Coronation Street, Khali Best of Eastenders and Michelle Hardwick of Emmerdale for the title.
In a busy year for the actress, she has seen her character go from respectable woman to a deeply disturbed one who is currently incarcerated after pretending to be pregnant, stealing her partners children and trying to kill his ex-wife.
The 29-year-old said: “I’m really excited to be nominated for Best Newcomer at the National TV Awards.
“The award ceremony is such a prestigious one and to win would be an absolute dream come true.
“The last few months has seen the demise of the sinister character ‘Sienna’ I play which has been really challenging and fun to film.
“It’s so nice to be short listed for this award at the end of such a big story. I can’t wait to see what’s next for Sienna.”
People only have until midday on Wednesday to get their votes in before the show is aired on ITV at 7.30pm the same night.
Those interested in voting for Miss Passey should head online to www.nationaltvawards.com/vote to make their selections for each category.
