ADVANCE consultancy teamed up with the Uttoxeter newspapers team for a charity coffee morning in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support.
Sue Keeling, employee of Staffordshire Newspapers said: “It was well attended.
“People were very generous and we raised £190 for Macmillan.
“There will also be 10p donated from the sale of each Post and Times so we will be adding to that total.”
Gill Conroy, employee of Staffordshire Newspapers said: “We would like to thank everyone for coming along.
“The offices at Advance are always open from 9am until 5pm Monday to Friday and people are welcome to come in and look round.
“We are very happy in our wonderful new surroundings at the Advance Business Centre.”
Sam Halden-Evans, employee of Advance Consultancy said: “We would like to give huge thanks to everyone who came along and supported us.
“The event was a huge success.”
The Macmillan Coffee Morning is the charity’s biggest fundraising event.
The cancer charity ask people across the UK to hold a coffee morning every year, where donations are made to Macmillan in exchange for coffee and cakes.
Staffordshire Newspapers will also be donating 10p from every Uttoxeter Post and Times sold in the week starting September 27 which will add to the final fund-raising total for Macmillan Cancer Support.
