FANS of the supernatural are being invited to discover the spooky goings on at an ancient gothic mansion recently featured on a primetime television show.

Visitors to the special ghost walk at Heath House in Tean this Hallowe’en will be in a lucky (or unlucky) minority to have explored the ancient cellars of the historic home.
As reported in last week’s Advertiser the house was featured on the Channel Four show Country House Rescue which saw owner John Phillips relinquish control to son Ben to make the estate work as a commercial venture.
Sadly John passed away in August but his son is continuing to press on to make Heath House commercially viable.
The ghost walk is the latest event organised for the venue and its gothic surroundings are sure to provide plenty of scares for keen investigators of the paranormal.
Michele Owen from entertainments company Ashcroft Park who are organising the event told the Advertiser what will be happening on October 31.
She said: “The night begins with a special introduction to the history of the venue by Ben Philips.
“This will set the scene for visitors as they are joined by our expert medium for the ghost walk vigils.
“No one other than us has investigated the gothic mansion before. It is still shrouded in mystery and when it comes to its hauntings no-one knows what spirits await us at Heath House.
“There is however virtually nothing known about the identities of the spirits who apparently reside in the house apart from the rustle of the Victorian lady’s dress.
“Through vigils and the insight of our psychic medium we aim to discover just who or what is haunting The Heath House.” Guests are encouraged to dress warm and wear sensible shoes and are warned the tour is ‘definitely not for the faint hearted’ with the event for over 18s only.
There will be two walks on the night at 6.30pm to 8.30pm and 9pm to 11pm and the cost of the tour is £20 per person.
