A FOUR-PIECE rock band will take to the stage at a Uttoxeter music venue this Saturday night.

Monkey Finger, a classic rock and blues covers band, are appearing at the Old Star in Queen Street on May 31 from 9pm.

Featuring Benny Chadwick on vocals, Matt Amos on drums, Paul Isaacs on guitar and Alan Wallbanks on bass, Monkey Finger formed from the ashes of Run Fat Boy Run which dissolved in October 2010.

Since then the experienced foursome, based in the Staffordshire Moorlands, have entertained crowds in Cheshire, Derbyshire, Greater Manchester and Staffordshire.

The ‘highly acclaimed and talented’ rock covers band are known for their ‘professionalism and ability to bring the hard rockin’ party atmosphere to any occasion’.

A spokesman for the band said : “With great stage presence and extra tight musicianship we’ve entertained masses of folks.

“Most recently we played to 800 die hard fans at the Nantwich Jazz and Blues festival and at the height of our set the wait to get into the venue was 30 minutes.

“We’re available for pub gigs, parties, weddings and corporate events.

“Do you love to see quality musicians clearly enjoying what they do? Then get in touch - The Finger are the band for you.

“So, it’s up to you - Be one of those losers who stays in, and then wishes they’d gone when everyone talks about it for months.

“Or get off your butt, and get yourselves down to one of the upcoming gigs, and witness the re-birth of rock.

“Admission is usually free, and in keeping with the spirit of the times, the band promise to refund this should you not be satisfied.

“Peace out, Rock Fans, and we look forward to seeing you soon.”
