YOUNGSTERS have dressed at their favourite children’s character in anticipation of a new attraction opening at a popular theme park near Uttoxeter.
Alton Towers was invaded by mini Postman Pats as they paid homage to the nations favourite postie.
Thirty-three children dressed from head to toe as the fictional character, some even with a black and white cat as his trusted furry friend Jess, as they await the opening of the resort’s new CBeebies land on May 24.
Each child represented a year since Postman Pat first graced British television screens across the country back in 1981.
Katherine Duckworth, the resort’s head of consumer marketing, said: “At Alton Towers Resort we strive to deliver a magical experience for families of all ages.
“Postman Pat’s Parcel Post is one of 12 themed attractions within CBeebies Land that will delight the youngest members of any family.
“Judging by how excited the children were we’re on to a real winner, and can’t wait to open the attraction.”
Marcus Arthur, managing director UK at BBC Worldwide, added: “We wanted someone we could rely on to treat these much-loved television shows with the respect, authenticity and care they deserve – and Alton Towers is the best possible partner.”
