Matt's epic effort for a cancer cause

A UTTOXETER father-of-two has pulled on his running shoes in support of a family friend battling cancer.

Matt Jackson, of Hill Close, completed the Potters 'Arf Marathon to raise £314 for the Teenage Cancer Trust in support of Eleanor Oldroyd who is battling sarcoma.

The 30-year-old, who works in sales for Coca Cola, said: "I would like to thank my friends, family and colleagues for sponsoring me."

He completed the run in two hours seven minutes and was joined for the last part by his daughters.
