Crutchlow earns second pole
Britain's Cal Crutchlow claimed the second Moto GP pole of his career with a new lap record during qualifying for the Czech Grand Prix in Brno.
The Monster Yamaha Tech 3 rider, who also topped the timesheets in Assen in June, lay third in first qualifying before producing a stunning lap on his second run to clock a new course record of one minute 55.527 seconds.
That saw the 27-year-old finish 0.227secs ahead of Alvaro Bautista on his Gresini Honda, with championship leader Marc Marquez third for Repsol Honda.
Spaniard Marquez will be looking to make it four wins in succession during Sunday's race having triumphed at the German, United States and Indianapolis grands prix in recent weeks.
Marquez's team-mate Dani Pedrosa lines on the second row of the grid in fourth alongside Jorge Lorenzo (Factory Yamaha) and Bradley Smith (Yamaha Tech 3).
Valentino Rossi, Stefan Bradl and Andrea Dovizioso line up behind them.
