UTTOXETER actress Anna Passey has proved she really is the best villain after scooping the accolade at the British Soap Awards.
The Hollyoaks star, better known to many as the sinister Sienna Blake in the Channel Four soap, dressed to impress in a stunning red dress as she collected the Best Villain soap award to loud cheers the from the audience.
She beat off stiff competition from fellow Hollyoaks stars Jesse Birdsall, who plays Fraser Black, and Greg Wood, better known as Trevor Royale, as well as Eastenders star Charlie Brooks who plays Janine Butcher and Dominic Power, who plays Cameron Murray in Emmerdale.
Collecting her award, the former Thomas Alleyne’s High School pupil, said: “Thank you so much. Thank you to everyone who voted, my Hollyoaks family, the cast – Jess, Ashley, Jeremy, Nikki and Danny thank you so much. I could not do it without you.
“Thank you to all the writers for writing so beautifully for me. Brian - thank you for creating such a bonkers, crazy character and thank you for trusting her to me.
“I am loving every minute of it. I will treasure this, thank you.”
It was not the only time the 29-year-old went up on the stage as the Hollyoaks cast also collected the biggest award of the night – Best Soap – which is normally won by Coronation Street or Eastenders.
