EASTER events are to be held for both adults and children at churches in Uttoxeter during the weekend.
Good Friday for children between the ages of five and 11 years old is to be held from noon until 2pm at the Guild Hall on April 18 next to St Mary’s Roman Catholic Church in Balance Street.
The workshop will include banner making, music and craft, and children should bring a packed lunch and a drink.
The Good Friday church service will take place at the United Reformed Church in Carter Street from 12 noon until 2pm and this will be followed by a procession of witness through town from the church to the kiosk which will start at 2.15pm.
Everyone is invited to join in with the worship to ‘remember the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ’.
Hazel Edginton, of Churches Together in Uttoxeter said: “All are welcome to join in the Easter celebrations and the Procession of Witness.
