SEVENTEEN pupils from a Rocester school are set to get their Gold Duke of Edinburgh awards.

Pupils began their Bronze award in year nine and, after years of hikes, camps, canoeing and kayaking activities and trips, they are now set for the scheme's top award.

During the last five years, Abbotsholme has achieved 78 Gold awards. It continues in its 125th year to go for Gold as more and more pupils reach Sixth Form and choose to 'test their endurance'.
