Crackdown on domestic abuse success

POLICE covering Uttoxeter have applied for eight orders protecting victims of domestic abuse.

Staffordshire Police has applied for the domestic violence protection orders since they were introduced at the end of June.

Domestic violence protection notices and court-issued domestic violence protection orders allow officers to act fast to protect the victims of abuse.

The powers mean officers do not need to rely on third parties to progress with a domestic violence case and can offer protection.
