Court date for prisoner after alleged calls

A PRISONER at a jail near Uttoxeter has been charged with intending to pervert the course of justice.

Cameron Halls, of HMP Dovegate, in Marchington, stands accused of committing the offence.

The 28-year-old allegedly intended to pervert the course of justice after making several telephone calls to witnesses between the dates of April 16 and May 10.

The defendant is now due to attend a hearing at Stafford Crown Court, which takes place on October 27.

He answers unconditional bail until the date of his court hearing.
