THE cast from a hit Beatles musical visited Stoke-on-Trent this week ahead of their show at the Regent Theatre.
Let It Be will be at The Regent Theatre between Monday, March 31 and Saturday, April 5.
The musical showcases the music of the world’s most successful rock’n’roll band, in a spectacular theatrical concert charting the band’s meteoric rise from their humble beginnings in Liverpool’s Cavern Club, through the height of Beatlemania, to their later studio masterpieces.
It is the first time that theatrical rights to The Beatles’ back catalogue have been granted by Sony/ATV for a theatre production.
The show is packed with over forty of The Beatles’ greatest hits including: I Wanna Hold Your Hand, Hard Day’s Night, Day Tripper, Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band, Strawberry Fields, When I’m 64, Get Back and many more.
The cast conducted press interviews, had lunch in Hanley and had a look around the area. They are excited about the opportunity to play at The Regent Theatre in a few weeks time.
Press officer, Jon Owen said: “It was great for the band to take a look around the area ahead of Let It Be visiting The Regent Theatre.
“The show has been really well received and we’re looking forward to it arriving in Stoke-on-Trent for the week from Monday, March 31.”
