Salon 14 fund-raising day

A UTTOXETER hair salon has been doing its bit for a cancer charity by holding a fund-raising day.

Salon 14, in Church Street, raised £428.16 for Macmillan Cancer Support with the event which saw staff in fancy dress hold a raffle and sell homemade cakes.

Receptionist Amy Bradley said: “We chose Macmillan as one of the members of staff had seen a family member affected by cancer.

“We are really pleased to have raised that amount and we would like to thank our clients and family members for helping us raise that money and the local shops who donated prizes to the raffle.”
