A POPULAR farm shop near Uttoxeter has had its own limited edition beer brewed and is asking its customers to name the brew.

Denstone Hall Farm Shop, in Main Road, has teamed up with Staffordshire Brewery to produce its own ale, which will be launched at its Beer and Bangers sampling event, on Saturday, between 10am and 3pm.

Customers have been invited to suggest names for the beer and the winner, which will be announced on the day, will walk away with a case of the tipple.

Farm shop owner Rupert Evans said: “It wouldn’t be bonfire night without a good banger and, since it’s also British Sausage Week, we thought it was the perfect time for our sampling event.

“Building on our success at the Taste of Staffordshire Awards — winning Local Food Producer of the Year — we decided to turn our attention to producing a Denstone Hall real ale with the help a reputable local brewery who have many years of experience.

“We have thoroughly enjoyed our collaboration with the Staffordshire Brewery to create a beer which will complement our tasty sausages. I’ve personally put the concept to the test with our new Jubilee Sausage and can honestly say the bangers and beer work really well together.” The Beer and Bangers Sampling event offers customers a chance to taste the local produce which is championed throughout the store, as well as enjoy a barbecue.

The new Denstone Hall beer will be among a selection of ales from the Staffordshire Brewery available to sample at the event.
