A UNIQUE retailer which recently opened a store in Uttoxeter’s High Street has announced new expansion plans.
Newlife Trading Ltd, based in Cannock, generates millions of pounds to help disabled and terminally ill children and their families across the UK, through its recycling service which is going from strength to strength.
Its Uttoxeter store, which opened in December and has been described by the firm as a ‘runaway success’, sells goods which are donated by major retailers with their labels removed to eliminate branding.
Newlife Foundation operations manager Stephen Morgan said: “The trading company is now in the process of securing the lease on a further 25,000sq ft of warehouse space in Bridgetown, Cannock.
“This will allow increased processing and storage space as volume of stock continues to increase. The move will create up to 20 jobs in the coming months.” Newlife Trading Ltd operates solely to generate income for national charity Newlife Foundation for Disabled Children.
Last year the business generated £2.2 million for the charity, which was used to operate its nurse-staffed national helpline, fund equipment grants, medical research and campaigning.
