MINDLESS vandals threw paint, smashed glass and damaged vehicles at five businesses, including one charity, in an overnight attack at a Uttoxeter business park.
Five units at Brookside Business Park were targetted by offenders overnight between the hours of 5.30pm on Wednesday evening and 8am on Thursday morning.
Offenders used cans of discarded paint to throw at the premises and smashed glass in an act of 'wanton hooliganism', causing a considerable amount of damage and distress to the business owners.
They also smashed wing mirrors and wind screens of vehicles left on site.
Staffordshire Police are now appealing urgently to Uttoxeter people with any information on the attacks to contact PC Richard Barnhouse on 101 extension number 4923 or alternatively report the incident to Crimestoppers on 0300 111 555.
A spokesman for the force said: "We suspect the offenders are local people.
"Considerable damage and upset was caused as a result of the attacks.
"One of the businesses targeted was a charity which makes the damage even more upsetting.
"We are very keen to hear from anyone who may have more information.
"The offenders have caused unnecessary and mindless damage to the businesses and need to be brought to justice."
