A FORMER post office will be turned into residential use.

The post office room, in High Street, Abbots Bromley, has been unused since the business shut down six years ago and now plans have been approved to change it to residential use.

Plans agreed by East Staffordshire Borough Council include making alterations to the front and replacing windows and doors.

The applicant, John Banks, will remove the shop front windows and will replace them with timber sash windows.
